"Two Can Save the Forest"
Toco and Keel Billed Toucans
The toucans are the ambassadors to the rain forest, because of their
raucous nature and vibrant colors.  Though not great distance fliers because of their short rounded wings, toucans are well adapted to hopping about in the rain forest canopy.  The rain forests are the lungs
of the earth and contain nearly half of all plant and animal species.  Alarmingly, nearly half of these rain forests have been leveled since
the 1940's, threatening the toucan's very existence.
